Chariot
Chariot is a highly modular and configurable business system based on Java 2 Enterprise Edition platform. It can be easily remade for selling of many various types of products and services. Currently, it is deployed in selling mobile applications of our corporation to end users and business partners.
Design of Chariot system is based on the following principles:
- Multi-tier design - separate tiers for presentation (Servlet and JSP tier) and execution (Enterprise tier).
- Advanced technologies - Session Beans, Entity Beans, Apache BCEL, Java Mail API.
- Modularity - easy definition of new functionality with use of XML and new classes, without need to edit older code.
- Performance - optimalization of database access speeeds the system up significantly.
- Languages and localization - the system is constructed with multi-language environment in mind. Addition of new languages, including exotic ones, is trivial.
- Optimal price/performance ratio - Chariot can be deployed on purely open-source platforms, as Linux, Apache, JBoss and MySQL, which reduces the software licensing expenses.
